Zambia is a well-known and long standing safari destination with parks such as South Luangwa, Lower Zambezi and Kafue all offering excellent game viewing. Of these though the South Luangwa has the best reputation for its diversity of wildlife and is easily accessible from Lusaka. Kafue’s Busanga Plains is easily combinable with Victoria Falls.
The lodges and camps offered in Zambia range from top class permanent lodges to those a little more affordable to the semi-permanent bush camps that operate from May to November. The latter fit well into the safari landscape and offer a very comfortable rustic experience with walking safaris a particular draw for those who want to really experience Africa.
