Trip Suggestions

Although all our itineraries are tailor made to suit your requirements, you may like to peruse our suggested itineraries to get a flavour of the areas we visit, the camps we recommend and what camps we believe compliment each other,

Over many years of organising itineraries, and from client feedback, we have found that a three night stay at each camp or lodge is the perfect length of stay, as this allows for two full days to get to know the region and for your guides to get to know you. Most of our itineraries are therefore based on this principle but if your time is limited, or your want more time, we can alter any of these to suit.

To help you get an idea of the type of accommodation used in each safari itinerary, and therefore its cost, each has been graded:-

Mobile Comfortable – fully serviced rustic mobile safari camps, with accommodation in either walk-in dome tents or mini-Meru style tents with hot bucket showers and either long-drop loos or full en-suite facilities. Back to nature but in a very comfortable way – far removed from the two man scout tents of old!

Mobile Luxury – fully serviced deluxe semi-permanent safari camps consisting of spacious wood and canvas Meru style tents with en-suite facilities.

Silver – these camps are generally tented (with en-suite facilities) mostly with thatched roofs and are usually raised off the ground on hard-wood decking. Rustic but very comfortable – properties such as Little Vumbura in Botswana, Fundu Lagoon in Tanzania and Damaraland Camp in Namibia are rated Silver.

Gold – these camps and lodges tend to be permanent in construction and combine luxury with superbly designed facilities. Properties such as Mkulamadzi in Malawi, Jao Camp in Botswana and Nsefu in Zambia are rated Gold.

Diamond – small & intimate, Diamond rated itineraries, offer properties with refined and elegant accommodation combining absolute luxury with superb levels of personal service and include, amongst others, Abu Camp in Botswana, North Island in the Seychelles, Chiawa in Zambia and Segera Retreat in Kenya.

You can use the search facility below to filter safaris by country, region, camp and cost – not all fields need to be adjusted, if you just would like to search all itineraries in Botswana. simply leave the other fields blank; we hope you find the function useful.

All our prices include all land arrangements (e.g. transfers and accommodation) from arrival into Africa until your departure to provide a seamless experience for you. Scheduled long and short-haul flights are additional.

If one of these safaris as suggested suits, or you’d like to discuss one as a basis for a safari, then please give us a call on 01342 811787 to discuss when you would like to travel.
