Tanzania is a great first time safari location with some of the best known parks, such as the Serengeti and Lake Manyara, contained within its borders.
The country can be divided into three safari ‘circuits’; the north including the national parks of Tarangire, Manyara, the Serengeti and the Ngrongoro Crater, the south including the Selous and Mikumi and the ‘wild west with Ruaha and Katavi.
The northern and southern all are connected with light aircraft circuits or road transfers from the hubs of Dar es Salaam or Arusha, whilst the ‘wild west’ can only be reached by air.
All though can be combined with any of the Zanzibari Islands for a relaxed beach portion.
