CHADA KATAVI

Accommodation at Chada Katavi has been kept the way it started out; small and intimate with just six spacious and comfortable East African safari tents, raised on wooden platforms allowing for panoramic views of the Chada plain and the constantly changing wildlife. The en-suite bathrooms are at the side, also on platforms, and have eco-flush toilets, and an urn of cool water with which to freshen up. The safari style bucket showers here are the best, tried and tested – there is no better way to wash after a safari than this.

The main guest area is set in a clearing and consists of the dining tent and a library with comfortable chairs, both ideal to while away the hours when you’re not out on safari. An evening drink around the campfire is the essence of safari, helping to round off a day of excitement out in the wild.

Activities include game drives in open four wheel drive vehicles, fly camping and walking. The game is unbelievable with vast herds of buffalo roaming the plains; also elephant, lion, leopard, crocodiles and huge pods of hippo.
