Tanzania’s accommodation offering to its safari visitors to arguably as good, if not better, than the more commonly known other East African safari country – Kenya. The range and diversity of parks is truly amazing from the world renowned Serengeti (‘endless plains’) through to the Selous and the more remote and less visited parks of Ruaha and Katavi in the west of the country.
There is safari accommodation to suit all budgets offered by private owners, major lodge operators and even hotel chains. Choose your camp carefully as their safari offering can vary dramatically as you risk being underwhelmed by the size of some properties. Small bespoke lodges are hard to beat, even if they cost a little more.
