THE VINEYARD

The main building of The Vineyard was built in 1800 and although there have been many changes and additions since, this popular hotel manages to offer a contemporary feel whilst maintaining its history.

Its large grounds and gardens give it a tranquil feel, quite unusual for a city hotel.

Conveniently located a short walk from the popular Cavendish Square shopping centre and just 10 minutes from the city centre and V&A Waterfront the Vineyard is a popular location as a base for exploring Cape Town and the surrounding area. The hotel itself is set in lovely gardens and it’s many facilities mean guests tend to enjoy time relaxing at the hotel after a busy schedule of sightseeing.

The Accommodation

There are 207 rooms including 6 larger apartments ideal for a family stay. Most rooms either overlook the lush green courtyard and gardens or have views of Table Mountain. All contain double or twin beds, ensuite bathrooms with separate shower and bath, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. In addition there is a safe, Satellite TV, WiFi, optional stocked minibar and all rooms have air conditioning.

The suites additionally have a terrace or balcony and depending on type a spacious lounge/living area and some a separate dining area

Facilities

Dining options are plentiful. The popular Myoga and Square restaurants have delicious menus, whilst the lounge and long cafe have a more relaxed menu throughout the day.

Popular is the Angsana spa, offering a wonderful range of treatments with natural ingredients and aromatherapy. There is also a well equipped fitness centre and yoga classes plus 2 swimming pools.

Activities

Cape Town has a host of activities and attractions to discover. Closest to the hotel are Kirstenbosch botanical gardens, the famous Newlands cricket ground and rugby stadium. It is an easy drive to all the other local attractions, so whether you hire a car or book organised day tours it is really easy to plan your days sightseeing.
