The Selous & Pemba itinerary combines four nights on safari with six nights on the beach in two locations that are off the beaten track from most visitors to Tanzania. Excellent game viewing is assured whilst the diving in the Pemba Channel is some of the best in this part of East Africa.
Met on arrival into Dar es Salaam with a road transfer to the domestic terminal for your light aircraft transfer to Selous Game Reserve, where you will be met with a safari vehicle transfer to the Sand Rivers Selous for a four night stay. The area surrounding the camp offers incredible game, with a mix of woodland, savanna and riverine habitats offering superb wildlife viewings in a varied way from escorted walks, game drives and boats.

Light aircraft transfer back to Dar es Salaam for your onward light aircraft flight to Pemba Island. Met on arrival with a road and boat transfer to Fundu Lagoon for a six night stay. Fundu Lagoon faces west over the Pemba Channel, which offers some of the best diving in this part of East Africa as whales and other marine mammals migrate towards Mozambique and onwards.
DAY 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10
At leisure of local optional activities as arranged by Fundu Lagoon.
Boat and road transfer in time for your light aircraft transfer (via Zanzibar) back to Dar es Salaam in time for your onward international flight.
