PREMIER ZAMBIA (GOLD)
KEY DETAILS
OVERVIEW
Premier Zambia (Gold) is a a ten night, four location flying safari visiting three of the most iconic National Parks in Zambia. You enter Zambia via Lusaka and connect through to Nsefu in the world famous South Luangwa valley of central Zambia, renown for its leopards, for a two night stay.
Your next stay is at Chiawa Camp for a three night stay in the Lower Zambezi National Park, where water activities complement 4×4 safari drives. The park faces Mana Pool across the Zambezi in Zimbabwe which is no obstacle for elephants which often cross the river.
Your safari portion finishes with a flight to Livingstone and onwards to Shumba Camp in Busanga Plains region of the Kafue National Park in western Zambia for a three night stay.
You then fly back to Livingstone, home to the world famous Victoria Falls, for two nights of relaxation at Tongabezi, on the banks of the Zambezi River, upstream of the Falls. River cruises, catch & release fishing and a tour of the Falls are but some of the activities offered at Tongabezi, or you can just sit back and relax after all those early mornings.
ITINERARY

DAY 1
Met on arrival into Lusaka, either via Johannesburg or via Dubai on Emirates with a scheduled flight to Mfuwe and then onwards by road into the South Luangwa National Park for a two night stay at Nsefu Camp in the heart of one of the most game rich areas in Africa.
If preferred, you could overnight in Lusaka – that way you arrive into Nsefu fresh, having had a good nights’ sleep.

DAY 2
Activities as arranged by Nsefu Camp. Nsefu, a Robin Pope property, is situated just outside the South Luangwa National Park, yet has good access into the park. The area close to the main park entrance abounds with wildlife with leopards and wild dog being particularly prevalent. Safaris tend to be in 4×4 safari vehicles which give guests a good ‘high level’ view of wildlife.

DAY 3
Road transfer to Mfuwe for your scheduled flight either direct or via Lusaka (day dependent) over the Zambezi Escarpment into the Lower Zambezi National Park and Chiawa Camp for a three night stay. Chiawa Camp is situated in one of the best locations in the valley, resting on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, opposite Mana Pools NP in Zimbabwe. The area is rich in wildlife especially elephants and leopard.

DAY 4 & 5
Activities as arranged by Chiawa. The variety of game activities at Chiawa is amongst the best in Africa. The hub of activities is 4×4 safari drives, but boat safaris, walking safaris, canoe trips and hides are also offered. So you can be as sedentary or active as you want to be.

DAY 6
Light aircraft transfer back to Lusaka in time for your flight to Kafue National Park and Shumba Camp for a three night stay in the heart of the Busanga Plains, a vast stretch of seasonal flooded plains. The safari season in Zambia is short, due to the heavy rains each year but a visit during the season, between June and October – with a complimentary early morning balloon flight – will not disappoint.

DAY 7 & 8
Activities as arranged by Shumba Camp. The area surrounding Shumba is in many, but not all, respects similar to the Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Guests can explore in 4×4 safari vehicles by day or night or by boats (depends on the water levels in the Busanga Swamps.) An early morning balloon flight over the plains is something not to be missed.

DAY 9
Light aircraft transfer from Kafue to Livingstone. met on arrival with a road/boat transfer to Tongabezi for two night stay in a cottage.

DAY 10
Day at leisure or included or optional events which range from a guided tour of Victoria Falls, a safari into Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park to see its resident white rhinos, catch and release fishing and sunset river cruises. And many more.

DAY 11
Road transfer to Livingstone in time for your scheduled international flight.
