OVERVIEW

This is a wonderful itinerary that explores the unspoilt South Luangwa National Park. Far from other camps and people, these simple but comfortable camps are in the best possible location for exploring the area both on foot and by vehicle. Luwi and Nsolo Camps are both part of Time + Tide, formerly Norman Carr safaris, one of the trailblazers of safari’s in this region.

A real highlight of this trip is the chance to spend a night in the Wilderness, sleeping under a million sparkling stars as you enjoy a true camping experience.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Fly from Lusaka to Mfuwe on your proflight flight. On arrival in Mfuwe you will be met by your guide and transferred to Luwi (approx 2 hours).

DAY 2

Explore the camp’s peaceful surroundings. Heading out on foot across dry river beds and through ancient forests across grassy pans in search of wildlife. You can also spend time in the camp’s wildlife hide and if you are fortunate let the animals come to you as you sit on the terrace of your tented suite.

DAY 3

Your sleepout adventure awaits. Spend the evening around the campfire, enjoying dinner and sundowners. Then fall asleep with nothing but a thin net between you and the wild and a beautiful view of the star filled sky. A cosy bed roll, mosquito net, bush loo and watchman nearby ensure the experience is safe and comfortable

DAY 4 & 5

Your guide will transfer you to your new camp base Nsolo. This camp is rich with wildlife and the focus is on game drives and walking safaris. The camps lagoon attracts many animals and you can enjoy the spectacle from your deck, whilst you relax ith a well earned cold drink.

DAY 6

Your guide will transfer you from camp back to Mfuwe where you will catch your flight to Lusaka for your onward arrangements.
