As Natural Selection continue to develop their offering in Namibia we are pleased to feature this itinerary which for the first time offers a 3 location fly in safari using their own aircraft.
Staying at three of Namibia’s most varied areas, offering dramatic landscapes, unusual wildlife and a wide range of memorable activities, this tour is a fantastic way to cover a huge and diverse amount in a short space of time.
Only opening in March 2020, Kwessi Dunes is located in the NamibRand Nature Reserve, with it’s spectacular rolling dunes and desert landscape. Next stop is Hoanib Valley Camp on the Hoanib River, the perfect location to hunt for the unique desert adapted animals resident in the region.
Last but certainly not least is the impressive Shipwreck Lodge, the only lodge within the Skeleton Coast National Park. It gives a whole new meaning to wilderness. This area can feel both desolate and welcoming. The camp itself is wonderfully located with views to the sea and the entire lodge is built to fit in without detracting from the natural beauty of its surrounds.
Your safari starts and ends in Windhoek, Namibia and operates every Sunday.
N.B. If you would prefer a more genteel start to your safari, we would recommend an overnight stay in Windhoek, so that you start your journey totally refreshed.
Starting in Windhoek you will meet your pilot and take to the skies for your first destination, a two night stay in the NamibRand Nature Reserve at Kwessi Dunes.
Activities are varied and include a day trip to the Sossusvlei Dunes. Also available are scenic drives and walks in the reserve, quad biking and stargazing. Hot Air Ballooning can be booked at extra cost.
Its back on the plane for your flight to the Atlantic coast . Stopping at Swakopmund for a seafood lunch on the beach. Back on the plane flying inland to the Hoanib Valley for your home for the next 2 nights
Activities include Desert Game drives in search of desert adapted animals. As well as Nature walks through dry riverbeds and a chance to spend a fascinating morning with the local Himba communities.
Swapping your transport you take to the road or even offroad as you take one of the most spectacular drives in Namibia. Following the course of the Haonib River you head to the Skeleton Coast. It is a full day drive but really quite special.
