On arrival in Maun you will be met and checked in for your local flight. Fly to the Makgadikgadi Pans and settle into Jack’s Camp, a 1940s-style oasis in the heart of the shimmering salt pans. This is your base for exploring the area, before you head off to Kubu Island for your sleepout adventure. So find your bearings, enjoy some creature comforts before things get more basic!

DAY 3 & 4
Your quad bike adventure begins as you traverse the endless pans to the Lost Island of the Baobabs, luckily your guide is familiar with the area as the vast expanses of shimmering pans look very similar and it would be easy to lose sense of direction. Day four enjoy Kubu Island home to ancient, gnarled baobabs and a feeling of glorious isolation. Kubu is one of the most uniquely beautiful spots in Botswana.
Head off on your quad bike back to the comfort of Jack’s Camp. Perhaps spending a little time to relax and cool off at the swimming pool, before enjoying a delicious dinner and heading to your tent for your final night here.
If you have time before departure you can spend a little time with the Zu/’hoasi people and learn about their culture and way of life. On departing camp you will fly back to Maun for your onward arrangements.
