OVERVIEW

The Intimate Malawi safari is a 10-day journey that visits two of the most iconic national parks that Malawi has to offer, Majete Wildlife Reserve and Lake Malawi, and does so in total luxury and more than a little style. Your holiday starts upon your arrival into Blantyre, where you will be met and transferred to Mkulamadzi Lodge in the heart of Majete, home to the Big 5 and some stunning scenery. From Mkulamadzi you return to Blantyre from where your light aircraft awaits to fly you to Likoma Island resort of Kaya Mawa luxury resort (meaning “maybe tomorrow” in the local dialect), a piece of island on the eastern side of Lake Malawi and a place to really relax and enjoy the tranquillity of this incredibly beautiful country.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Met on arrival into Blantyre with a (2 hour) road transfer to Majete Wildlife Reserve and to Mkulamadzi Lodge for a four night stay.

DAY 2, 3, & 4

Game viewing activities within Majete Wildlife Reserve, whether by 4×4 safari vehicle or on foot as arranged by Mkulamadzi.

DAY 5

Road transfer back to Blantyre where your light aircraft awaits to transfer you to Likoma Island and to Kaya Mawa luxury resort for a five night stay.

DAY 6, 7, 8 & 9

Time to relax on the stunning Malawian beaches or take the opportunity to experience some of the included water-sports or delve into the history, flora and fauna of the region.

DAY 10

Flight transfer back to Lilongwe International Airport in time for your onward international flight.
