ONGAVA TENTED CAMP

Ongava Tented Camp is situated within the private Ongava Game Reserve, on the southern boundary of the Etosha National Park in northern Namibia, and is one of Namibia’s best kept secrets. The camp is sited overlooking a nearby waterhole to which a diverse range of wildlife come to drink.

OVERVIEW

Accommodation at Ongava Tented Camp comprises just eight large and comfortable Meru style tents and one family unit, all with en-suite facilities, open air showers and private verandas. The family unit sleeps four.

Relaxation at Ongava Tented Camp typically takes place around the main area with its relaxing bar and swimming pool, watching the wildlife that comes to drink at the waterhole.

Etosha National Park is a short drive away and is arguably one of Africa’s premier wildlife destinations and largest reserves and is home to large herds of wildlife that stream into the waterholes during the dry months offering breathtaking vistas of the seemingly endless salt flats.

Activities at Ongava Tented Camp are based on day and night wildlife-viewing drives in open top 4×4 safari vehicles and walks (including rhino tracking) with experienced guides. The Ongava Game Reserve features much of the characteristic wildlife of the area, with both desert-adapted black and white rhino to be seen as well as lion.
