Malawi with its widening national park and accommodation options, now offers a wider range of possible itineraries to interest most travellers than ever before. The country is long and relatively narrow with Lake Malawi on its eastern border with Mozambique, making a circular route, not covering previous ground, very difficult to achieve.
The geography of Malawi lends itself to visitors either visiting the south of the country visiting Majete, Lengwe and Liwonde or to the north visiting the islands of Lake Malawi, the lakeshore and the Nyika Plateau. You can self-drive but escorted touring or fly-in safaris and the more popular options.
