An intimate tented camp, Elephant Bedroom finds the balance between simplicity and stylish comfort. This allows for an authentic tented safari experience but with the amenties you would expect from a luxury camp.

Accommodation

The 14 tents are spacious and are furnished in a colourful African style with rustic wooden furniture. All the tents have hot and cold running water, electricity and a private plunge pool on the deck.​

Facilities

There is a dining and lounge tent with a large veranda, so you can sit and enjoy the view. Breakfast and lunch are normally served on the river bank under the shade of the trees. Whilst dinner is normally in the main mess tent, although a private meal set up can be arranged on request, ideal for honeymoons.

Activities

Game drives are in 4wd open sided vehicles with a maximum of 6 guests per vehicle. Depending on the schedule, guests can enjoy bush breakfasts and picnic lunches as well as the obiligatory sundowner. Bush Walks are also possible.

The local Samburu are very involved and they welcome organised visits, as well as offering entertainment at the lodge. The resident naturalist offers lectures on Samburu culture allowing for a greater understanding of life for the local communities.
