LITTLE GOVERNORS CAMP

When you approach Little Governors and leave your vehicle, to take the very quick boat ride across the river, you know this camp is going to be special. Although in the Masai Mara reserve it is well away from other camps and so has a feeling of seclusion. That said don’t be surprised to see elephant visitors or the resident warthog family, trying to get a look in at the lunch table.

Little Governors is proud that 100% of its power supply is from solar energy.

The accommodation

All 17 tents are spacious, with wooden polished decks and large verandas where you can sit with a drink and enjoy the view of the waterhole. Tents are en-suite with shower, basin, flush toilet and hot and cold running water. Tents have electric lights and UK plugs for charging cameras and mobile phones.

Facilities

There is a mess tent with a bar overlooking the waterhole. Whenever possible the daytime meals are served al fresco, with a la carte dinner in the dining tent. The camp also has a small souvenir shop. WiFi is available in camp.

Activities

Game drives are offered three times daily. At Sunrise, late morning and in the afternoon. Although there is also the option of two long drives, with a picnic breakfast. You are in the heart of the Mara and game is on your doorstep, so your experience is all about the opportunity to witness the incredible wildlife in its natural habitat.
