Kicheche Laikipia

Located in Ol Pejeta with the imposing Mount Kenya in the distance, Kicheche Laikipia is nestled at the foot of an indigenous forest and benefits from overlooking a waterhole, so ideal for spotting the local wildlife from the comfort of camp.

Accommodation

Kicheche Laikipia has just 6 en-suite tents with a veranda offering views of the wilderness surroundings and waterhole. One of the tents is suitable for families. Run on a solar system the tents have charging facilities and 24 hour lighting.

Facilities

The camp has a comfortable and roomy lounge and dining tent, which are warmed by a real fire on cooler evenings. The lounge also has a Wifi connection. Whenever possible meals are served al fresco, so you can enjoy anything from game spotting to star gazing depending on the time of day.

Activities

Home to a host of different animals such as elephant, wild dog, black rhino, lion and cheetah to name a few the game viewing is the main focus. Bush walks are available as well as game drives, the conservancy also allow night drives giving the unique chance to see some of the nocturnal animals of the bush.

The endangered species centre, chimpanzee sanctuary are also worth a visit and the more active guests can enjoy horse riding, canoeing or mountain biking.
