Camp Okavango is situated on Nxaragha Island in the heart of the Okavango Delta on the north-eastern fringes of Moremi Game Reserve in northern Botswana. It is surrounded by permanent water channels and as such game viewing activities are primarily water based.
The camp has eleven luxury safari tents and one suite, all on raised decks to allow for the views. The tents have en-suite facilities whilst the Okavango Suite is a thatched cottage offering complete privacy and is perfect for honeymooners.
The main guest area of Camp Okavango features a cocktail bar, lounge area and wildlife reference library. The dining room leads onto an expansive open-air patio where an evening around a fire under the African stars can be enjoyed. Other facilities include a secluded bird-viewing hide and sundeck with plunge pool.
All game-viewing activities are conducted by experienced guides and include exploring the Okavango Delta by mokoro or motorboat and tracking the larger game species on guided nature walks on the many surrounding islands.
