A honeymoon calls for a real adventure-one that is just as inspiring and memorable as the wedding. While many people choose island destinations or jaunts through Europe, an even better idea is to plan a romantic getaway in Africa.

One of the biggest thrills of an African safari experience is sharing the joy of what you are experiencing with the ones you love, especially children, where almost everything they are doing during their safari is for the first time.

What is food without travel, or travel without food? The two experiences go hand in hand and the food of Africa can really make your safari holiday a memorable one.

A mobile safari experience is one of the most popular ways of exploring the wildlife of Africa and usually includes traditional tented camping with daily 4×4 morning and night drives.

I first went to Africa in 1998 and encountered its magic with a trip to KwaZulu Natal and the Kruger National Park on a 10 night trip.

Many think that Africa is a country – it is not it’s a continent and a continent so vast that the United States of America, China, India and Western Europe could fit inside it and still leave some room for a few more countries!

Known as, ‘the warm heart of Africa,” this country in the southern region of the continent is a top destination. It’s known for its stunning lake and its friendly people. And, its wildlife sightings are unique compared to the rest of Africa.

So, what makes a beach a great beach let alone a ‘best’ beach? Perhaps it has the sand that is so white it blinds you or that the sand is just so unbelievably soft. Or the water is crystal blue?  Or it has a stunning and remote location?

For unadulterated luxury, it simply has to be The Seychelles. An archipelago of more than 100 islands scattered into the Indian Ocean, The Seychelles is a heavenly mix of paradise beaches, untouched coral reefs, national parks and nature reserves, and secluded islands that have just enough room for you and your beau.
