MOMBO CAMP

The camp is built in the shade of a stand of trees and overlooks a floodplain bustling with resident wildlife. The tents are built under thatch on raised decking and consist of a comfortable lounge and a luxurious bedroom with an en-suite bathroom featuring both indoor and outdoor showers. Outside, each tent has a private sala, a long veranda which all offer magnificent views of the Okavango Delta. Mombo Camp’s main guest area comprises both lounge and dining areas which are thatched together with a boma for “under the stars” dining. There is also a plunge pool in which to cool down. A gym is provided for the more active.

Activities at Mombo Camp include the traditional dawn and afternoon game drives in open 4×4 vehicles and is the best way of viewing the high concentrations of plains game and their predators. Lion sightings are frequent. Guests at Mombo Camp can also expect to see leopard, wild dog, hyena, huge herds of buffalo, elephant, giraffe, wildebeest and zebra. There are also a small number of both black and white rhino that have been reintroduced to the region but these are only seen occasionally.
