SELINDA

Selinda Camp consists of just nine luxury tents under cool thatched canopies, each having panoramic views across the floodplains and palmed fringed islands that abound in this region of Botswana. The tents are all spacious with four poster beds and are sumptuously decorated with African arts. The en-suite facilities are open and airy yet subtly screened and feature a stone bath.

The guest area of the camp consists of a series of decks that enjoy wonderful views of the wildlife that surround Selinda Camp and of the Selinda Spillway. Dinner is either served under the cool of the thatch or on the open deck under the stars. A feature of Selinda Camp is its photo/art gallery and curio shop, built above a wine cellar. After a day spent game viewing guests can also enjoy a plunge in the pool or a glass of something around an open fire.

Game viewing around Selinda Camp is excellent with wildlife filled floodplains which also host a wide variety of bird life (300+), antelope, zebra, cheetah, wild dog, lion and in the dry winter months huge herds of elephant. Serval, porcupine, and occasionally leopard are seen. Game viewing activities are classically morning, afternoon and night game drives with experienced, professional guides in comfortably adapted 4×4 vehicles. Short walks (not hikes) from camp accompanied by a guide are encouraged to get to know some of Selinda’s smaller flora and fauna.
