KALAHARI PLAINS CAMP

The camp is built on raised decking to allow for a free flow of air and is situated overlooking an immense pan. It comprises just ten en-suite canvas tented rooms each with a sleep out area from which you can enjoy the night skies with no light pollution to detract from the experience. The central area of Kalahari Plains Camp contains a lounge area and a dining area with bar; there is also a separate deck with a swimming pool. Electricity and hot water is supplied by solar panels whilst the tents have an innovative insulation system in the walls and ceiling which keeps the inside temperatures comfortable during the heat of the day and the cool of the night.

Game viewing is in open topped 4 x 4’s but walking is also offered including a chance to see how the San Bushmen survive in such a hostile environment.

A three-night stay at Kalahari Plains Camp affords visitors an experience totally different to the lush verdant landscapes that they will (subject to season) find in the Okavango Delta.
